What are Skin Boosters
Skin Boosters are an anti-ageing treatment used to improve the face and neck areas where signs of ageing are most prominent and where the skin has lost its firmness and elasticity. During the ageing process, hyaluronic acid production slows which can leave the skin dehydrated and dull. Skin Boosters injections contain the highest concentrations of hyaluronic acid and act as a high-performance hydrator that evenly distributes a gel-like consistency to improve those areas, leaving your skin looking more youthful. Skin Boosters can be used in conjunction with dermal fillers and botox injections.
Are Skin Boosters safe
Skin Boosters are safe and effective, it is metabolised by the body completely and it does not contain any synthetic chemicals. With all cosmetic treatments, minimal side effects can occur including faint bruising and redness after the injection but this soon fades. To reduce the risk of bruising, we use methods that help to prevent this in a safe environment. If you have a compromised immune system you should consult with your GP before booking your appointment with us.
What to expect with Skin Boosters
When you book a Skin Booster session with us, you will go through a medical aesthetic consultation with our medical team to go through your medical history. This is to ensure that you are suitable for the procedure. Five injections with a small needle on each of the face are administered to achieve maximum results and each injection is relatively painless. The treatment itself is very quick and should only take around 15 minutes. The treatment consists of two sessions one month apart. Skin Boosters can be used in conjunction with dermal fillers and botox.
Do Skin Boosters Injections hurt
When the Skin Boosters injections are administered, there may be a mild scratching sensation during the treatment due to the very fine needle that is used.
Skin Boosters Aftercare
After the Skin Booster treatment, you will see a difference straight away. Your skin will appear smoother and brighter and over time the effects become more enhanced. For 24 hours after the treatment, you should avoid exercise, swimming and any form of strenuous activity. You should also avoid wearing makeup, steam rooms and saunas.
How long does it take for Skin Boosters to wear off
Results will last up to 6 months.
